The Mouth of "Money Bayou"


Money Bayou is a beautiful place not far from my home. Legend has it, that a pirate/outlaw James copeland burried two kegs filled with gold coins here in this area. Being that it was back in the mid 1800s, things have changed a bit geographically. Two slaves in the area reported that they were forced by James Copeland to bury his loot! A few coins have been discovered in this area! The Kegs of gold were buried about 200 paces from the beach, and under a palmetto bush! This is my view of it!
